Michael J Hogan - Principal

Michael’s experience began 35 years ago, working alongside his late father John Hogan (a carpenter) on-site in the construction of a number of residential houses. They both had great times together exploring how structures are put together. This gave Michael a huge interest in construction technology.
In 1995 Michael graduated from Bolton Street with a Diploma in Construction Economics and he also achieved a B.Sc, degree from Trinty College. After spending time with PJ Hegarty and PKS (now AECOM) Michael became a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1998. Michael joined Shannon Development in 2000 as Head of Construction Projects and graduated with an MBA from University of Limerick in 2003. From then to this date, Michael has developed a huge knowledge and experience of contractors in construction technology and their methodologies.
In the past 25 years, Michael, also a Chartered Project Manager, has been responsible for directly project managing in excess of €200m of construction projects across all sectors. His keen interest is in modular residential, new technologies and sustainability in the sector. This has brought him to meet new entrants to the Irish and European MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) markets.
In recent years Michael’s sister became part of the ‘pyrite challenge’ and this resulted in having the entire ground floor of her home fully reconstructed. This reinforced his thinking and Michael set a new personal challenge to ensure the industry excelled in terms of quality and standards.
Michael has been appointed by International and National Contractors to assist them achieve Agrément Certification with the NSAI for their innovative methods of construction and to assist them increase their presence in the Irish Market.
The necessity to create an independent professional led company to assist contractors (modular and new sustainable technologies) navigate statutory certification standards is essential.
